Haemoglobin is the protein molecule found in red blood cells responsible for transporting oxygen & carbon dioxide throughout the body. These stylish cufflinks show off the molecular structure found at the core of haemoglobin, with the central iron ion highlighted in red.

This design features the central Heme group of the haemoglobin protein cut from stainless steel, fastened to a bronze faceplate with copper rivets. The rivets are placed to represent the four nitrogen ions, with a larger central rivet painted red to represent the iron ion. The finished piece is polished to a mirror finish and mounted on a cufflink finding, before being coated in a microcrystalline wax to prevent tarnishing. It is important to note that this can vary slightly from the product shown, as all our products are machined by hand.

A pair of stainless steel and bronze cuff links with copper rivets, handmade from recycled materials, individually machined by hand. Every step in the creation of this piece, from initial design all the way through to finishing and mounting, was completed in our London workshop.
